Stellar Travel Compass

Editorial policy

Stellar Travel Compass aims to make space travel understandable while being candid about what is known, what is proposed and what remains uncertain. Accuracy matters more than a dramatic claim.

Accuracy and context

We check factual statements against appropriate sources and take care with dates, technical terms and distinctions between completed missions, active plans and speculative concepts. Where a claim is uncertain or depends on assumptions, the wording should make that clear. An explanation is not a substitute for specialist or operational guidance.

Independence and interests

Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to guarantee favourable coverage of a company, product, mission or partner. Where a relevant relationship could affect how material is understood, it is disclosed alongside that material. Commercial arrangements do not purchase editorial conclusions.

Corrections

Readers can report a suspected error through the Contact page. We review specific, checkable concerns and correct material when warranted; substantial changes should be identified clearly, with the corrected information made easy to understand.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid, sponsored or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is the case, the image is identified as such. Illustrations should not be mistaken for documentary images of actual missions or equipment.
